Hello Yakezie,

I am always looking for more ways to help promote each other and be promoted. Today, I got to thinking about these social bookmarking outlets and figure it was time to use them.

If you would follow or add me to your list on these, I will return the favor.

Post your profiles here so others can follow you as well. Hopefully, we will all promote each others material and continue to drive additional traffic to our websites.

Im having trouble getting into my Tip'd account

We should form a social media team similar to our summer yakezie team.  Not sure what is the ideal scenario, but a rotation of someone else submitting your articles each week to all four sites…not everyday, but maybe one article each week.  Reddit is my best traffic out of these four sites, and I know they wouldnt let me post anything for 2 months because I was submitting too many of my own articles.  And then everyone in your team can vote, tip, digg that article, and then maybe we can start generating more traffic from these sites.

I like the idea of forming a social media team. That would be great. And yes, I understand the issues with Reddit and the others by subbing your articles too much. The thought of having others do it for you is outstanding.

I know I've mentioned it before, but I'm the moderator for the FinancialPlanning subreddit.

http://www.reddit.com/r/Financ…..lPlanning/

If we all visited and supported each other's articles I think we can build some nice traffic up.

What I really like about Reddit is how easy it is to submit an article too.  But you do have to be careful about subbing only your own stuff and you have to make sure your article is informative and not a link roundup or affiliate article.

Tip'd tends to be more lenient with subbing your own stuff.  PF Buzz is good as well.

And Forest has a Yakezie social group set up for Skype chat that we can all use as well.

Oh, watch subbing your own stuff all the time to SU, they can ban you for that as they see it as spam.

You have mentioned that in the past, but I seem to only sub to the Reddit.com one. Seems like they always reject anything else I try to put in there, but now I notice nothing has spaces and this probably the reason.

Anyway, thanks for the reminder. I will be sure to sub there more often.

Looking forward to getting into the yakezie skype group. should be a lot of fun and a great place to promote each other, discuss, get questions answered, find guest posters and opportunities.

I'll see if I can figure out a plan for a social media group.  I dont know what we plan on doing with our Yakezie summer groups now that the summer is coming to an end.  I dont want to overwhelm people with groups, but I think if we focus on continuing our summer groups into the fall to work on our Alexa, and then work on hyping our sites with social media, everything else should follow.

Glen, do you know if Reddit would ban/suspend us if we continuously added the same blogs articles over and over? i.e. I submit articles only from your site to Reddit.  Obviously they will punish for submitting our own, but I wonder if they will do the same if I only submit one other blogs all the time.  It would be easier if we could get a google sheet going with 1-to-1 blog ratio and then a group of 10 could tip, digg, stumble it, similar to our summer groups…otherwise we would have to get a rotation of blogs submitting each others…much more complicated.

Ooo..I think it's a great idea! Being voted up on Digg/Reddit could create some huge traffic surges for all of us, which will help us with our Alexa rankings at the same time…

I didn't know this group existed. I will be sure to vote for these articles in the future.

Hey Freddie, I connected with your Stumble and Digg accounts, but the Reddit didn't open for me correctly, and I don't think your Tipd included your account link, but maybe it's just me not being able to open it correctly.

Moneyistheroot, I connected with you on Stumble and Digg also, your Reddit didn't open for me either.

If you guys want to connect with me, here's a link to all of my social media accounts.

You can connect on whichever you like.

I try to promote various articles I read throughout the week on these networks, so I'm pretty active on them for the most part.

It depends on the other users there. If people mark you as spam then it is possible.  It's best to intersperse different sites from time to time.

Freddie, unfortunately your profile on Reddit looks like the page can't be found which usually means the profile was banned.

Hmmm, that is odd. I just posted something to Reddit…they have been telling me to wait one hour before posting.

Hopefully, I can get back right with Reddit soon.

Their "wait one hour before posting" seems to be equivalent to a suspension… I had the same notice for 2 months lol, that was one long hour…

I really like this idea. I find it so hard to keep up with the media sites. I do ok on twitter and facebook but I could do better. There is just so much to do. A group would make this seem a bit overwhelming. Thanks for taking this on.

Hi all,

Been playing with Reddit lately.  Nice spike in traffic, but didn't realize they were so strict.  I think I have to lay low for a bit as my posts are being voted down.  Frown  Interesting lesson, know your audience!

I tried using Reddit in the past and it would only let me submit one post a day. It seemed to always tell me that I am posting too much at one time and to come back later. I don't know much about Reddit at all but I never seemed to have good success with it. I wish there was some kind of interface like Twitter and FB have for integrating our posts to these the other social sites. If anyone figures out a way, please let me know.

Another reason to join the Skype group, we have a group for posting your vote requests.

And while you're at it, join Fwisp… it's my site, and I don't mind people using a voting ring, while other sites might. Just takes 5 votes to get a front page PR5 link back to your post!

I believe there is a way to have your email verified with Reddit and that allows you to sub more.
