Here's the deal, I need to start concentrating some effort into the Facebook side of my blog, rather than just simply have the feeds post to the wall.  What I'm thinking of is having comments appear on the Facebook posts as well as on the blog post kind of the way that when you publish a post, there are plug-ins that will tweet or post it to other social sites at the same time.  I'm sure I'm butchering the explanation of what I want to do with this but I hope someone can make sense of this jibber jabber and help me out Laugh

Maybe?

You have Disqus already right?

That's great for tweeting out comments.

I actually looked for something just like this. I have a friend that might be able to help. RobFine.com

He pulls in comments from Facebook to his event and blog pages. There should be a way to get them to go the other way too.

I've got good news and bad news!

The good news is that I figured out how to do what you are looking for.

The bad news is that you're going to have to get rid of Disqus. Not sure how attached you are but it doesn't work with it.

1) Make sure you have created a Facebook app for your blog. If you've created a welcome page then you probably had to create one. If you don't have one yet then you're going to have to get one sooner or later. There are some great blogs that will help you step by step.

2) Download and install Simple Facebook Connect

3) Fill in your app key and fan page ID (this is the long number that used to be at the end of your Facebook URL before you got 25 likes.

4) Allow to publish posts to Facebook

5) Allow integrate FB comments

6) Deactivate Disqus

7) Publish a post. It will automatically show up on your fan page wall. No need to wait for the feed to refresh. Then a comment from the FB wall will come back to your blog.

Sweet!

Here are screen shots. I'm about to delete the tests.

You're killing me with the bad news part LaTisha!  Cool I really appreciate what you went through to help, but I love Disqus, not only how it cuts down on the spam, but how it also allows people to comment from a number of different log-ins.  Plus, it's such a stable comment platform, that I don't know if I'd feel comfortable going with a system like that.

Yeah, I really like Disqus too.

It saves me hella time with approving comments. Plus I can tweet my replies which I've noticed has improved my Twitter interaction and follows.

I'm going to try the FB thing out for a little bit and see how it works.

I'll let you know how it goes.
