Have you created a media kit for your blog? An advertiser landing page?
I'm taking a public relations class at college and we're making a media kit for the class. I'm making one for my blog and finding it really helpful!
You can see how I've done mine here: Advertising. I'd love your feedback, and would love to see what you've done!

I have an advertise page too http://www.wealthinformatics.c…..advertise/ but from what I see from the advertisers that contact me no one actually reads it . [Not generalizing, just talking about my advertise page stats]

I do not have one.(my disclaimer) I am also not completely familiar with all of the terminology. I did feel very overwhelmed reading it. I am not sure if it is a visual issue since you have two side bars with other information and my eye is fighting on where to go.
I do not know if it is possible to do this on your site, but perhaps have each of the headings with the content area "linked" or "dropped down".This way all the information is not viewable at once.
One additional thought is to "showcase" your numbers and target audience. Then list the ways that advertisers can work with you in bullet points. Save all the details and costs for a "flyer" or other emailable attachment for advertisers.

Saved Quarter,
This is actually very well written and organized. It's apparent that you put thought into this, and I'm sure this differentiates you from the typical blogger.
Personally, I have a tab for advertising that lists some high level metrics and states my basic approach to advertisements. Here it is http://squirrelers.com/advertise/ My approach is a bit different in that I keep it brief and simple, and prefer to deal with them on a 1:1 basis when it comes to pricing and other specifics. That's the one thing I might suggest to people publishing prices, is that it might take away leverage for you. But, each of us has to do what works for us individually.
Anyway, that being said, your page is well thought out and does a good job selling your blog and spelling out your policies with advertising. I especially like how you note Yakezie and how you spell out terms very clearly. The latter is important if you're doing business, and probably something many bloggers don't spend enough time on. Well done!
Ray

I did forget to mention that I thought it was extremely well written and well organized. I have worked in marketing and would have assumed that you have a marketing/advertising background from the way you organized this.

Same thing here. I have an advertiser page, but no one ever seems to read it. They stick to their standard, and we negotiate from there.

I've got an advertising page (http://www.mypersonalfinancejo…..olicy.html), which also has a press kit on there. However, I'd say that only 1 out of every 10 advertisers that contacts me reads it. Most of the time, they just find my email address on the site and email me directly.

About a year ago, I built a whole package to send people…I quickly found that closing ratio dropped HARD. The advertisers looking for a quick link or 125x125 box don't seem to want it that formal.
Just my experience.

Sort of on the same page as this – one of the advertisers I have worked with was telling me that he prefers to work with/pay more for sites that don't make it public that they are looking for advertisers..It's almost like in dating and playing hard to get!…haha

I had an advertise page but deleted it. I figured that an advertiser can just use my contact page if they are interested in advertising.

Your page looks AWESOME! Great job.
I have a separate advertising contact page but it is very general. I do tend to prefer to work with each advertiser on a 1:1 basis. However, I am keen to add a bit more to it. Would you like to work with me to help me design a better advertising page? We could even discuss a fee,.

I have a basic advertising page that highlights a few of my stats, but nothing as elaborate and detailed as this. It seems like most people just contact me using the "contact" page on my site, and neglect to read the "advertising" page.

I have and advertise here page, I don't think most advertisers look at it.
I am working on a media kit because I've had larger companies ask for it; not for quick ads but for partnerships for promotions, etc.

I had a media kit planned but I noticed that when I removed the detailed information I started to get more requests. I did keep it though in case it's requested.

I think that if you don't post detailed information that an advertiser will contact you to ask questions. This can lead to striking up an advertising relationship and an ad deal for a site.

Having it up for a few weeks now, it is DEFINITELY helping. I don't have may specific prices, but having the information there has been positive and advertisers have commented on appreciating it. I've had two successful deals since putting it up, one for a Yakezie group ad, so I'm keeping it up.

I have one http://onecentatatime.com/adve…..tise-here/ but rarely get a hit. After seeing yours, modified further. I know no one will be interested till my rating improves

I have had one
http://www.wealthinformatics.c…..advertise/
for the last few months. But no one seems to have read it. For that reason, I postponed creating one for Broke Professionals. May be I will do it a little differently this time…
