l'm not sure how many of you got an email from these folks today (or recently, as it started on the 1st), but thought I'd drop it in here in case anyone is interested.  Nothing too spectacular, by any means, but winning your category could mean a decent link at least.

Announcing eBay Deals 2013 Frugal Blog Awards

The eBay Deals “Frugal Blog Awards” grand prize winner will receive exclusive rights to an eBay deal, featured recognition on the eBay blog and social media pages, and a bag of eBay swag worth $100.

About the Contest
eBay Deals is proud to announce its first ever Frugal Blog Awards, a self-submission contest honoring blogs in the frugal niche! This contest is designed to reward bloggers who dedicate their lives to educating consumers on how to lead a lifestyle of savings.

The Frugal Blog Awards contest will run on self submission; each blog owner will submit their frugal blog for consideration. Contest participants will include all bloggers who have an active blog in one of the following categories:

Frugal – General
Frugal Family
Deals and Couponers
Frugal Technology

Contestants can submit their blog for consideration throughout the month of April, from 4/1/13 – 4/30/13. On May 15th, 2013 we will announce 14 winners who were hand picked by the eBay Deals Blog and Social Vote.

How to Enter the Contest
Participate in the 2013 Frugal Blog Awards by submitting your frugal blog for review. Simply state the reason why we should consider your blog, in addition to your blog name, URL, logo and email.

Multi-Tier Prizes
This contest offers multi-tier prizes! In each four categories, the eBay Deals team will choose a 1st, 2nd and third place winner, based solely on the quality information on those blogs. In addition, there will be one Social Vote winner, who is chosen based on social votes given to them within the contest page (please note, you can ignore this category if you do not want your audience to engage in social voting). The last winner will be the grand prize winner – for a total of 14 winners!

The Grand prize winner for “Overall Best Frugal Blog” will receive exclusive rights to an eBay deal, featured recognition on the eBay Deals blog and social media pages, and a bag of eBay branded swag worth $100. In addition, each category will also nominate a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winner. All off our winners will be awarded recognition through social media mentions and a link from the eBay Deals blog.

About eBay Deals
The eBay Deals offers multiple daily deals at huge discounts, DIY tips, project inspiration and shopping insight.

Everyday the eBay Deals features items from some of trusted sellers who are offering deep discounts (usually between 20% and 90% off) and free shipping. The only catch is that eBay Deals has limited quantities of these fixed-price items, and at these great prices, they won't last long. Once they're gone, they're gone.

eBay Deals team updates their featured deals at least once a day starting at 8:00 a.m. Pacific Time. When items sell out during the day, they are replaced with brand new deals. Check back often to make sure you don't miss out on the latest Daily Deals.

Winning the grand price would be pretty sweet too.  Still not high value, but for the price of a couple minutes of adding the entry…

I read the T&C and didn't see anything that was out of the ordinary.  I'm not a lawyer though, so a lot of the jargon loses me, and it's entirely possible that I missed something.  I didn't see anything that alarmed me, and it does seem to be legitimately linked to eBay's daily deals blog.

One thing to add: If you're anonymous, you might want to avoid entering.  They are asking for a real name.  Doesn't bother me, I came out of the anonymous blogger closet several years ago, but a heads up for those of you who are still in there.

Sadly found out that the awards are only available to citizens of the US at this time :(

Hopefully they do this again next year!
