Emergency Fund for Blog Posts – Help Request!

We all are supposed to have emergency funds for a rainy day. I am in need of some blog posts for my rainy day. I have spent about 70% of my time in the last 10 days at the hospital with one of my kiddos. We are looking at a Saturday morning discharge at the earliest, but nothing is firmed up.

Thus, on account of all this, it looks like I may be shy of my two minimum post per week for this week. (I did post twice last week.) I would really appreciate a few "back up" posts for occasions such as these since we are at risk for a return visit to the hospital since this is a chronic condition. Thus, I am in need of a guest post "donation".

I am not looking for new content. I would prefer some "favorite or 'best of'" posts that anyone has written. If you are looking for ideas, usually anything relating to budgeting would dovetail nicely on my site.

Thanks,

Super Frugalette

There is no hard requirement (unless you impose one on yourself!) Hope your kids get better soon as well.

I don't have anything written up ATM but I can send over something that will be "frugal" and original, too.

i am sorry to hear about your kid. My friend bailed me out before when my wife gave birth, so I'm paying it forward. Please feel free to reuse one of my article (as long as you link back to the original article).

Also, you have a great looking site — very clean.

Jim,

Thank you so much for the assistance. I used the 16 Frugal Tactics. I will also use the other ones if I am caught off guard and we are sent back to the hospital. I added my own introduction in italics to offset it from your post. I did not check all the links, but the links I did check, went to your site. They appear to be working well. I will send you an email with the link as well. Thanks for your help. This post is definitely something that I would have written about as well.

Thanks for the kind greeting. Are you sure there isn't a hard requirement? I recall reading that there is a mandatory 2-4 posts per week. Sam is this true? Or is there some sort of post loophole?

Hi Super Frugalette,

Very sorry to hear about your childeren in the hospital. It's hard enough producing blog posts at the best of times.

You are most welcome to re-publish some of my posts. Please anything that you think would be a good fit for your site.

This has been one of my most popular – it's recent, but not so new that everyone just read it yesterday (not that I have so many readers anyway!). Feel free to use it if you need to!

Hi SF – There's no hard fast rule, but over the 6 month time period, we should average out to 2-4X a week.  Hence, if you can only post once a week for a couple weeks, just post 4X a week during other weeks.  The idea is to get all of us to post consistently in order to get better, b/c there is a tendency to slack on occasion. However, clearly, you should spend your time with your kids!  Hope they get well!

Best, Sam

Regards,

Sam

Sorry wrong thread ….

———-

Very cool! Congrats on putting this together.

I unfortunately don't have a budget spreadsheet to share. The only spreadsheet I have are around tracking dividend income and calculating capital gains taxes on investment (including currency exchange and fees).

I did learn about Google Templates though. A much better way to share Google Docs than I am currently doing Embarassed
