thanks Khaleef and Squirellers! I have already set up a new daily visitor record. I will update you tomorrow on the stats.

We have the stats from GRS guest post given by Jeff, can we have a stats from Couple money for problogger guest post? It'll be interesting to compare I guess.

Ironically enough, the best traffic that I have ever got from a guest post has been from a non-PF site -although it does have a ton of subscribers:   Art of Manliness.  I have 3 articles over there (the most recent one is over a year old) and it continues to be the largest individual site referrer to me.

That being said, I need to finish up the 4th post that I'm working on get it over to him ASAP :)

Good job on the Frugal Dad guest post.  That's has also been a good traffic referrer.  Went over and commented.  Laugh

Jeff good points FD is giving me a lot of traffic but its no way near your GRS numbers. Still way too high for my blog's daily traffic standard.

I never heard of that blog, checking it out now

Yeah, I just stumbled upon it my chance.  My first post was actually an interview I did for a series that he does "So You Want My Job".  I noticed that he hadn't done one on a financial planner, so I just "cold called" him with the idea and he accepted.

The other two were for more fun:  Backpacking Basics and How to be a Financial Stud.

Every time I guest posted, my RSS feed jumped at least 200.   Even to this day, I get a good amount of referral traffic.

Congrats on the guest post one cent! FD is a great get!

I know the question was for Elle but I thought I'd weigh in with my own ProBlogger experience. I had a guest post over there go live about a month ago and to date I've only had 264 hits show up in analytics. I know I also had a couple of hundred other visits via direct/search from the article too. Not a ton, but the real benefit is the backlinks since Problogger is a PR6.

Below is so far traffic report on GA for 19th and 20th combined

visits  avg pages  average time      new visit bounce rate

277       3.45    00:07:41     94.03% 32.47%

See the quality of his readers, looks like they have all the time in the world. They literally tore open my blog. Also I have more than usual visits from gmail, Yahoo mail etc which I believe are all frugal dad subscribers (i usually get 2-4 visits from mail clients per day otherwise)

In a way I had 1000+ page views in last two days originating from FD, not sure how many subscribers I got as feedburner is erratic today.

What were the GRS post stats? I have a reader story scheduled to publish there on 10/23.

I know that is a question for Elle, but the former owner of BP had guest posts on problogger as well as dailyblogtips. Problogger brough 279 visitors and 561 page views over 3 days. Dailyblogtips 238 visitors/412 PV over two days. The residual referrals has been very less.

Thanks all, Problogger is not expected to bring much traffic as readers over there are not much interested in personal finance same as blogtips.

I just read a post from Andrea (my proof reader) that she got 3000 visits in a day from consumerist.

Julie love to hear your numbers from GRS. How long you had to wait since your post submission? And another question to you is how much traffic you got from moneysavingmom the other day?
