I started my personal finance blog earlier this year and joined the Yakezie Epsilon class as well. Daisy (Add Vodka) was kind enough to steer me back here to the forums and now I'm ready to dig in and learn! My first blog posts are more personal than the items I've written lately but I plan to keep writing a few times a week and pour my heart and soul out to all ya'll. :)
I'm closer to 30 years old than 20. I'm in a long-term relationship but not engaged (YET!), living (happily) in sin with my man M., working in the finance industry in which I am the -only- woman at my office, and I'm the only person in my family to go to / finish college. I've been financially independent since I was around 17 years old. My parents are wonderful people but TERRIBLE with money – they burn through it like it's the last day of Earth. I have an older sister, H. She and I have a bad habit of trying to buy everything for everyone around us, friend or not, and last year I started wondering if we think we aren't deserving of other people's time so we make it at no cost to them and every expense to ourselves.
What else? I'm excited to be here! I've been a PF blog lurker for AGES and I'm ready to find my voice. I'm starting to get the hang of Twitter and you can find me on there too at @belowhermeans.  because I wanted to use a smiley with lipstick. I love makeup. Okay, I'm done. FOR NOW.
