Hi again everybody!
All 3 of my sites seem to be down right now and I'm not home to check why. Anybody else having problems with their Host Monster sites?

Yeppers. Kris at Everyday Thoughts and Tips found out that the server my sites are on was experiencing issues. How hard is it to switch hosting sites? And, do you lose all the money you paid the current one? I paid for a year in April and now am seriously considering giving up my remaining $36 worth and moving on…

You'd probably have to eat the $36, but you'd have to check the HostMonster terms of service. I've moved simple html sites easily but not a Wordpress site, though it's simple enough in theory (famous last words lol). I know Craig from FreeFromBroke switched hosts not long ago so maybe you can reach out to him for advice.

I used to think a 99.9% UP TIME guarantee was just as good as 100%. sorry to hear about this – but this must be the first time i have ever heard a host / server go down like this

It's all good now. I'll be switching to Host Gator this week (already bought hosting for 3 years). I'll let you know if I have any problems with them like I've had with Host Monster. :-)
