Hey folks,

This week, I have published a post on The Financial Blogger saying that I was openning the doors to my online company. I want to share my success and failure through my online venture along wth my knowledge.  I have started by publishing my first monthly income report. If you are curious, you can take a look here:

Feel free to ask any questions, and I really mean ANY QUESTIONS ;-)

cheers,

Mike

Mike, I'm looking forward to these posts.  I know that you are a multi-blog and niche site owner so I'm curious as to how everything's going!

I'm digging my way out of some serious debt at

Maybe I've missed it somewhere else (and you can say if I have), but do you have ghost writers that you hire or staff writers?  Also, with the direct advertisers, do you approach them or visa versa?

I left my questions on your post as well, but here they are again in case they help other Yakezie?

How many sites contributed to that total?  How long have you been building those sites up?

And one I just thought of, how many of those sites did you buy?

I'm wondering if I should start buying some blogs…

Nice income Mike! I love numbers like this, because it gives hope for me to make a good chunk of change down the road. I would really love for my wife to go back to school and not have to work. Maybe I can make enough for this to happen, you know? Thanks for the inspiration!

Thanks for reporting this. Now I know I can earn a living blogging. Only $7,596 more and I'll be there! :)

I second Crystals questions, about whether one or more than one blog contributed to this, and how old is the blog.

Thanks!

Alan

Alan,

Mike has 5 blogs, so this income would be from all of them. Dividend guy, green panda treehouse, the financial blogger, DoNoWait are the ones I read, I remember there is one more blog about stock, forgot the name. He has talked about his blogs in TFB. I remember a detailed post around the time he launched DoNoWait. It is probably in Oct. You should be able to find that in his archives. He has talked about his blog buying strategy as well.

Hi Mike,

I do have a few questions. :)

* Do you "nofollow" the banners or widgets? I have seen some bigger sites do this or other various things instead of having a direct link to the advertiser.

* What software do you use for keeping track of income and expenses? I've taken a look at GnuCash but I'm less than thrilled with the multi-currency handling. I don't want to spend a fortune here, though.

* How have you structured your Canadian business? I'm curious about this area as well.

Thanks for being willing to share!
