I'm slanting my website more towards investing and would like to feature links to your websites.
Here's the catch. I'm looking for the answer to this question:
What is your biggest investing question?
In this thread, write your biggest investing question with a link to your website.
That's it. I'll let you know when the question and answer is posted on my site!
Example:
My biggest investing question is should I open a ROTH IRA or just invest in my workplace retirement account? Barbara at Barbara Friedberg Personal Finance

What's the best option for the self-employed – a SEP IRA or a Solo 401k? What are the pros and cons of each? Does the amount of income you make matter for your choice?
Thanks Barb – you can link to TCI.

Hi Barbara,
Am I better of making over payments on my mortgage at 2.9% or investing the money in the stock market ?
Good luck with the new slant

Got one…
Considering that inflation kills the buying power of money that sits in a savings account, would you recommend using a brokerage/stock account as the new savings vehicle? If so, as a percentage of total savings, how much would you keep in a brokerage account versus a traditional savings account? If not, why?

What metric (rule of thumb) would you recommend for asset allocation based on age and risk appetite?

Here's my Q:
I know I should have some bonds in my portfolio, but the rates are still near record lows. Should I still invest in bonds, knowing there's a decent chance I will lose money over the short to intermediate term?
Serious question, and I keep punting from making the decision. :)
Feel free to include a link to me! Thanks

What is your take on passive investing? If passive investing, what percentage of your portfolio would you allocate for "speculative investments", like single tech stocks and such?

What investment strategy should a couple use if they are in a high tax bracket and want to minimize taxes on their investments?

Great question, Barb. I have so many, but I'll pick one….
For someone who got a late start "investing", what should that person look for in investments? A mix of high and low risk assets, or something more aggressive to make up for lost time?

Why should I care about risk at all for investments that I won't use for 40+ years? Shouldn't I be swinging for the fences to get the highest possible return? For example, having a diversified stock fund but nothing in bonds or other investment classes.
Please link to Evolving Personal Finance. Thanks, Barb!

This is great Barbara! Here's mine:
What percentage of my stock investments, if any, should I allocate towards international stocks and emerging markets (the latter of which seems to have more volatility)?

What is the best investment for a student (besides the education that we are working so hard to get!), in your opinion?

I love this idea… very neat and creative.
My question:
For people with existing debt, such as credit cards and student loans, is it best to pay off your existing debt first and then save for retirement? I realize that interest rate is obviously a big factor here, so at what debt interest rate does putting money towards retirement instead of debt make the most sense?

Here's a few. Pick the one you like the best:
Does it always makes sense to buy index funds or ETF's over an actively managed fund?
When is whole life insurance a good investment for somebody?
What's safer? Buying individual bonds or a bond mutual fund?

Follow up to this one - Should I still invest in bonds, knowing there's a decent chance I will lose money over the short to intermediate term?
If I don't want to invest in bonds at the moment because it looks like the price will fall. What should I invest in instead? Just keep in cash?
