All,

I'm going to repost my comment above that got buried in the discussion, as I'm hoping someone can shed some light on this. Might help us determine what actual MozRank is, and best source to get this info. Here's the comment:

So, I checked the opensite explorer link from Jacob's email below, and found that my Moz is still showing 4.78.

The source of the information on 4.11 Moz in my reply above was the following: http://www.check-domains.com/w…..alyzer.php

So, what gives? Which one is accurate and which one is off? Trying to determine if this is a real issue or not, that was introduced by Sandy and followed up by me. Any thoughts?

Ray

I would trust the opensite explorer site better than any secondary sites that you looked at.

I installed the SEOmoz toolbar in my Firefox and use that.  It comes from the people doing the ranking, so I hope it's the most accurate.

With regards to advertisers asking for links to be reduced, that is not a driving factor for me since none have asked to do so.  I had a long conversation with an advertiser on optimization and what makes a site most attractive to advertisers.  Combine his opinions with what Google itself says and I am making changes to best position my site for the future.

I'm just curious about mozRank and what factors into it since it seems like there is some consensus about Google, but none about moz, and they don't put out enough information to help educate us.

I'm digging my way out of some serious debt at

My Mozrank is 4.05, and last month it was only in the high 2's.

I would luv to see a Google PR one of these days, but Im guessing that is going to be awhile before it's updated again.

Sandy,

I am going to research all of the metrics that make up Mozrank.

Any thoughts on the Moz rank? I seem to be doing well in Google and Alexa, but I have delayed development on the Moz. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
