YFS here!  I'm back from a 2 week hiatus/vacation and decided to add a little spice to my website.  Here is my very first VLOG (video blog).  Let me know what you think.  I want to hear the good, the bad and the ugly.

Very professionally presented. I also like the intro at the beginning, it makes it all look more pro. Good job!

Hi Dom, I loved it – great and you are natural infront of a camera. Content – splendid. One thing that destructed me and I found slightly annoying was the background music – I know hwy it was there but it was still irritating. May be have it less loud…

Yes I agree with Maria. The only thing wrong was the music clashed with what you were talking about, and was probably slighty too loud as well. I would still use music as I know it livens up a recording, but maybe you should try a few different tracks and pick which fits best. Still a good job overall though.

You could put in a background like the Biggie vid for Hypnotize with them on the yacht or Cash Money Bling Bling with them flashing the jewels.  Or maybe dress up like Matthew Lesko!  CoolCool

The one thing I would suggest would maybe to use an area with a lighter background or in natural light.  Check out ProBlogger–Darren has a few posts on the subject of shooting video and mentions things like that.

Great job though, especially for the first time.

noted.. I've always struggled with the darn volume on the background music.  I'll fix that

First, I'll echo what other have said.   You are very good on camera.  Excellent job on the first one.

Agree on background music.  I would consider having it in the beginning and end, but not in the middle.

Great intro and outro.   Many don't do this and it's all about the little things to make you stand out.

Now for the constructive criticism <you asked Wink>

1.  The video is too long.   My first videos were long, too; and most viewers don't have the patience or time to watch a 7 minute video.  I think the bread and butter length is between 2-3 minutes (2 being ideal).  Even if that means breaking it up into multiple videos that's okay.  Think of it like a series posts just vlogs.

2. You need to break it up with pictures/words/anything.   Most talking videos get boring if you don't help break up the monotony.  I didn't learn this on my own. My wife told me!!!  Laugh  By inserting a picture here and there or some text to highlight some key points, it will help drive the point home.

Once again, great job on your first attempt.  It was way better than my first one and probably first 10!  Smile

I like your background, much better natural light. I still think the video is too long. If you decided to add a how too section where you show people what to do, then the video wouldn't seem so long.

Like the intro and the end.

Thanks for the feedback.  I'm going to play around with different lengths.. I'm torn between 2 mins and 3 mins.
