Ok, long story short – my friend's 8-year old daughter has Juvenile Diabetes and is participating in a walk to raise money for JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation). She also cut off almost a foot of her hair to donate to Locks of Love and also to raise money for the Susan G. Koman Foundation for Breast Cancer Research.

I have written an article about her, and would like for you all to promote it any way you can: http://knsfinancial.com/help-f…..-diabetes/

Also, in the article I am directing people to her sponsor page for this walk, where you can give donations! Even though the walk is 10/24/10, you will be able to donate long after that.

So, I am asking that you not only promote the article as normal, but that you use every opportunity to tell others about this cause (put it in roundups, articles, your FB page, email the article to friends, etc). Of course, I would love if my fellow Yakezie members and your readers donated a ton of money as well! All donations are fully tax deductible!!

Oh, and if you do donate, please leave "KNS Financial" or "Khaleef" in the comments so we know how much you guys helped out!

Here are a couple of links to help you promote the story (I have a bunch of social buttons on the article as well):

Tip'd – http://bit.ly/bDoDY3

Reddit – http://bit.ly/b2wyNP

Stumble Upon – http://bit.ly/cAq0ue

The Tip'd and Stumble Upon links go to my main page – just like/tip the article that I referenced above (or do them all if you are feeling generous)!

Please let me know if you have any questions or suggestions!

@ James, John, and Suba – thanks so much for supporting and promoting! Of course feel free to request any support that you need. A DM on Twitter is usually the best way for me.

I thought I already posted this, but apparently not.  I Tweeted this a couple of days ago and will keep trying to remember to Tweet when I get home.

Good luck!

Hey, if a semi-anonymous blogger (only a few people know who I really am) would like to make a donation through KNS, can we just paypal you the money?  I wanted to leave a message but be labeled as anonymous, which isn't an option.  If you're cool with accepting the donations and passing them along, just let me know your pp address, thanks!

Crystal

PS  I understand I'd be giving up the tax deduction.  :-)

Crystal,

I just put Anonymous as my name :) so that I could comment that Khaleef sent me over. It accepted. I think all the form cares about is the zip code to charge your credit card and correct credit card information. Just another way of doing it.

Oh I got my tax receipt as well. It shows as "Anonymous" but with my email receipt and credit card receipt showing the "Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation" line item, I am safe I think.

Sorry, Crystal – I just saw this. Just so you know, I wouldn't have a problem with it. But I'm glad that Suba was able to explain the process!

Thanks to both of you for donating! I really appreciate it.

No problem Crystal! I was waiting for it to say that it doesn't accept donations from fake people :) I didn't think of paypal and wondering what to do if it did that. I will keep paypal in mind for the next time. Thanks.
