Hi All…I don't think I have put a shout out to one of my posts in this forum in the past couple years, but I wrote one recently that I am particularly proud of. I was hoping to get a couple link backs, and shout outs on social media from anyone that is interested. I'd be happy to do the same for you, just shoot me a note!

Normally I don't disclose this much information, but going from a negative net worth, and jobless, just 4 – 5 years ago, to where I am today, I really felt like I wanted to share how my financial blogging acumen has helped me along the way.

Thanks!

Very good read brother, i also love online banking. I switched to Ally bank a few years ago and I've been happy with it ever since. Your story is an inspiration. I'm struggling right now, but I have faith that with hard work and smart decisions I'll have success like you. Great stuff. I'll tweet it out from @thelendingmag

I just blog out and linked to your post, it's not perfect yet. I have to format it a little better tomorrow and the links are "no-follow" right now and I don't know why. I'll fix that tomorrow. My wife is DEMANDING that I get off the computer and go to bed, ha. Fix all of that stuff tomorrow.

Really great post! Losing your job when you did nothing wrong really is a wake up call.

I shared the post across my social networks.

I've contemplated it, and I still might.

I think I may go with showing my monthly, or quarterly, net worth going forward as I can easily view that on my Mint app and copy screenshots. I had to go back through old files to figure out my rough net worth from 4 years ago, so documenting the exact growth could be a little more cumbersome.

This is really incredible. I'm on a similar journey and would love to see you throw some traffic my way on twitter. I just tweeted out your article to my very limited amount of followers. Thanks for sharing, another real life story of someone who has achieved what I'm striving for. Laugh

I've always felt net worth is one of the most important indicators of one's financial health, asset valuation fluctuations can have a dramatic impact though.

Incredible story! Congrats Justin!

I read a few articles on your site, they intrigued me. I'd love to learn more about reskinning apps! Wondering if that is something I could make extra money on…perhaps we can collaborate sometime! In the meantime, if you want to put a guest post up on my site I have a precent decent following that loves hearing about making money!

Thanks, I appreciate it!  I couldn't agree more on asset valuation…I do include home equity as part of my net worth, but the value has always remained at the appraisal price from the purchase of the home. I am certain the price has increased significantly, but I also don't ever plan on selling the house, so I just consider the paid in equity as part of the net worth.

Thanks I appreciate it! Fortunately, with everyones help I have gotten about 20k views on this article over the weekend, and over 600 FB likes and 500 shares. I also, had a local newspaper contact me about an interview, so I really can't thank everyone enough for all of the support.
