Some of us experienced a jump to 4 in the past – usually a shock – to find ourselves "demoted" to a 3 later. I don't mean to be a party pooper but after these updates Google often does a "correction". My first update was 0 to 4, but then to 3. But 3 is still really cool!
I was one of those. I think it happened in the summer. I was geeked for all of a week, if memory serves.

Didn't he get picked up recently by a major syndication? That would explain some of it. But congrats for all the hard work that went in before that!

All of my sites stayed the same. I was worried they might drop so I am happy with them just maintaining their page rank.

I'm still a 1, but my Alexa rank is up to 374K and climbing.

So, it seems like higher the PR the better it is. I am still a PR1. Still a long way to go…

NetWorthProtect.com is now a PR 2. Very happy to get there, would like to see 4 very soon, but feel like it is a moving target.
Any suggestions on how to get to a 4 would be greatly appreciated!

Still a PR 3…. Oh well!
Does it seem odd to anyone that we are getting another PR update so soon? I thought there had been talk of Google getting rid of it all together….

I noticed that many of my individual articles had PR shifts as well. The only pattern that I noticed is that some of the older articles had a drop, while newer ones increased.

That's probably just due to proximity to the homepage from category/tag links. Categories can be a good way to spread Pagerank around, if your goal is a good distribution of pagerank. Otherwise, I'm not sure it influences anything other than potential link ad opportunities on old posts.

I have a question – Is there a benefit for having internal pages with higher pagerank(s)? It seems like most advertisers are just looking at the home page. Does increasing your pagerank on interior pages help to increase your site overall? Or is there another benefit that I am missing. just curious…

Advertisers want home page only to avoid site wide ads as the other pages may not carry the same PR and as such the link could get diluted by lower ranked pages.
Your internal pages play a large role in the overall rank of your site, so to answer, yes, having good PR on interior pages helps your site overall.

Financial Excellence went from 1 to 3, but in the last one I went from 0 to 2 then back to 1. I'm excited to be at 3 but not holding my breath.

Nope, every little link helps you gain point. Link dilution happens only when your link co exist with other links on a page then the value of each link reduces.

Disagree. By putting an ad on a page that has a PR0, even though it also exists on say a PR4 page, means that ad gets a lower value PR attribution. This is what advertisers are trying to avoid. Why else do they demand home page only?
Link dilution exists as you say, but in other ways as well.
