I'm coming into the Challenge with an Alexa of 2,058,980. I edit and blog across several other PF / frugal living sites as a career, and I usually have to put the work ahead of my own blogs. But in my quest to work for myself and not "for the man" I will have to make the time to move Thriftability forward. A BIG THANKS to Sam @ Financial Samurai and all of the PF bloggers who spend countless hours helping others on the Yakezie forums, and to Crystal of Budgeting in the Fun Stuff for being a terrific role model (whether she knows it or not) and motivator.

Be sure to check out my how's and why's of growing my blog with the Yakezie Challenge on Thriftability!

Awww, thanks Lisa!  For anybody who doesn't know, I work with Lisa with those Australian pf sites I have mentioned before (she runs half the sites and I comment for them).  She's an awesome writer and I am so glad she got her own blog together!  I think she should mention her part-time day job since it is soooo cool in my opinion. Wink

Welcome to the challenge Lisa:D hmmm maybe it's my company but my work computer says I can't access your site cuz of pornagraphy? weird

That's really strange, Aaron – no one else has had that problem. Perhaps it's your browser settings? Thanks for the welcome and (attempting to) check out my site!

This is true. I've had the privilege of meeting Crystal and working with her through the Australian blog sites. While she comments across a great number of sites for the Australian PF blogs, she also finds PF blogs/bloggers who are interested in unique guest posts for their sites — and I write the posts, aside from managing/editing the blogs.

LOL, I said cool job and you thought about writing, hehehe.  I meant the fact that you are a freaking fire fighter!  How cool is that?!  And we need you in Texas by the way…

I really look forward to seeing what you do with Thriftability!!!

Aw shucks… true again, Crystal!  I am a Firefighter and Emergency Medical Services provider with the Big Thompson Canyon VFD in Drake, CO. I'm also their Web Master and PIO (media liaison.) Mr. Thriftability is a Fire Chief for our department… so you can imagine that we share many unique adventures in the Colorado mountains where we reside!

I blog at Rookie Firefighter – for fun – but my blog is a bit behind due to work!

Very cool!

My family owns a fire company in PA. My brother is Chief, my uncle and Grandfather are retired chiefs, and we have EMTs as well.

That's so awesome! It seems wherever you go, someone has ties to a firefighter somewhere ;)
