Hi Crystal, Love the carnival. Once my MBA teaching class is completed on March 8, I'll have some time to host. Where is the sign up schedule?

Please try your best to submit your posts early. I will have a full day on Sunday, and I'm hoping that I won't get hit with 50 submissions at 5:59 PM!

You poor thing!!!  Just so you know, it gets way faster with time.  My first carnival ever took 6-8 hours to put together but now I can do them in less than 3 even with funny themes.  :-)

As for the personal comments, it really came down to content more than my own opinion.  I've got a million opinions, sure, but in knowing that bloggers may use the same article twice in open-ended articles like TMBC, I wanted to ensure that there was enough unique content as possible.  In doing so, I benefit in keeping each page of my site as unique as possible, and those who participate benefit because they're getting links from a page that doesn't have a lot of duplicated content. Win-win! 

 

I'd recommend doing to anyone who hosts simply because it also requires you to thoroughly read each submission.  Breaking it up definitely helped, but for some reason it seemed I was getting 5 credit card submissions in a row, then 5 retirement ones, etc.  I love personal finance a ton, but repetition drives me nuts.  Having a comment on each article kept me focused on reading through each and every one.

 

I'm definitely up for hosting in the future, and will certainly put my name in the hat to do it again.  As for when that might be, I'm not sure, but count on me signing up again in the near future.
