Can you clarify the topic for me? Is it poor (living at or below the poverty line but with steady housing – essentially my life now!), or is it homeless? Since the two are quite different, it would help me to know what we're writing in a little more specific terms. :)

Feel free to write for either poor or homeless as the topic. It's more about what you would do to get out of the situation which ever it is. But I think I was going for the homeless topic more.

The posts will go live on Friday the 29th. I'm splitting up the teams tonight after midnight and I will email everyone with their team and partners.

I thought there was a problem there. I might have gotten stuck in your spam. It's going to freedom AT debtfreedivas DOT org correct?

You're my parter and you should be getting a post also. Check the google spreadsheet to see more details.

My partner's post is all ready to be posted and is VERY good! I'm so looking forward to reading everyone's thoughts about how to get out of being homeless…For some, reason, I doubt this group would be homeless for very long… Smile

I posted Jacob's post – thanks!

I'm a little confused about my own post, though. I sent it to the address to formerly Broke Professionals' http://freelancepf.com/, but it's not there – it was posted yesterday at http://debtpayer.com/getting-o…..f-poverty/, which doesn't appear to be a Yakezie blog. Aren't these posts supposed to go up all on the same day and on the Yakezie blogs they're sent for?

Derek of Life and My Finances has a great plan for going from homeless to millionaire. Take a peek. Heck, I like the plan for me!!! Great post Derek!

BTW, I shared this interesting book called Scratch Beginnings. Adam Shepard did this very thing in a 1 year experiment. Pretty cool. Something to think about.

Thank LaTisha for sparking the conversation.

LaTisha,

Thanks for putting this together.  I just went and read my group's posts and they were good.  I especially liked the one on your site from Toni at Debt Free Divas.

Cheers,

Joe

Saved Quarter:

Sorry for the confusion.  I have two blogs.  FreelancePF and Debtpayer.  FreelancePF is my businesses blog and Debtpayer is my personal finance blog.  I thought it would be a better fit at my personal finance blog than on my business blog.  At the time I signed up I didn't have Debt Payer up and ready yet.  Hope that explains it.

Freelance PF – I get that, but I expected the post to go up on the blog I sent it to, and that the blog it went to would be a Yakezie challenger/member. I didn't see any indication of that on the Debt Payer blog. It would have been nice to get a note about the change!

Neither of my blogs are Yakezie challengers or members as of right now.  I won't participate in any further blog swaps.  I'm getting ready to not participate in the Yakezie period with all of the emphasis on titles and rules rather than people and relationships.  In fact I will not be posting on the Yakezie website again because this is the second complaint I've had of this nature.  It was great being a part of this, sorry I sold my previous blog.  Best of luck to everyone.  I will still be in contact with those of you who wish to be but I'm getting the vibe I'm no longer wanted on the Yakezie.

I am not saying to not participate in Yakezie. This is a group about people and relationships – and it's really fantastic for that – but the rules help us to all be on the same playing field and working toward a common goal. You are definitely welcome and wanted as a member of the group, but it doesn't seem fair to get the rewards of Yakezie when you're not participating in the challenge. This was a Yakezie blog swap, and I don't think it's an unreasonable expectation for the people participating to be challengers or members of Yakezie!

I like Broke Professionals and I can appreciate that you're starting a new blog – I really hope you're successful with it! I can also understand that the content fit better there. It wasn't communicated to me, though. From my side, it's not what I thought I was participating in, and it's not what I signed up for.
