Hostgator did the same fix for me and it did fix most of the issues. But missing schedule and saving error as Glen mentioned and clearing spam comment erros consistent till now.

I added that concat script and it seems to have fixed my hanging saves problem.

Woke up one day to see one of my top tab pages gone, and some images gone from my media library.
I'd wait to install WP 3.5 if anybody is thinking about it.

I bet we get a 3.5.x soon to deal with these issues as well as plugin and theme updates.
A big part of it is a conflict between shared php code between plugins/themes and the WP Core. Automattic always told developers to use the WP scripts and not write their own. Now we are seeing the problem.

Yes, 3.5 is a pain in the butt. Mostly because there were some big changes that broke a ton of plugins and none of the plugin authors have updated their stuff yet (well, as of two weeks ago when 3.5 came out).
To fix the visual editor problem, add this to your wp-config.php file:
define('SCRIPT_DEBUG', true);
It's been a consistent fix for the media upload issues and the missing visual editor. When I say visual editor, typically the html editor was wonky too, pretty much breaking all.
This change makes wordpress serve up more or less unaltered versions of JS files included in WP core, specifically the tinymce.js which creates the visual editor.
Another thing I'd try if you're having problems is do a reinstall of 3.5 from the WP Updates area in your dashboard.
If you're getting php error codes showing up all over your pages, that's a different problem caused by messed up plugins. Most of them that I've run across are warnings, not errors and you can turn off display_errors if you absolutely need the plugin. Contact the plugin author as well and let them know about the errors. The fix for plugins is fairly simple, addresses a change to the WP core variable structure, but plugin authors need to know it's a problem so they can fix it.
Sorry so lengthy, good luck out there.

And another option is to downgrade. I'll downgrade anyone at no charge (jesse@splycedventures.com) or follow these instructions: 1: Back up everything. Database and files. (please, I won't be held responsible if you don't back up). 2: Download WP 3.4.2 http://wordpress.org/wordpress-3.4.2.zip 3: On your host server, all wordpress core files EXCEPT wp-content and wp-config.php. I typically just delete the wordpress wp-admin and wp-includes folders and leave the stray php files intact, with a downgrade like this. 4: Copy the 3.4.2 files to replace those you deleted from your host (wp-admin and wp-includes folders and anything else you deleted) 5: Log into wp-admin and proceed with the database upgrade (which in this case is actually a downgrade) 6: Disable/re-enable plugins, check posts, etc. Make sure everything is good. Not everyone has the schedule post problem on upgrade, it's possible that downgrading and upgrading again could upgrade you and NOT break the scheduled post again, but it's possible it'll just break it again too. WP 3.5 added a bunch of new media features, but if it broke something important for you, downgrading and waiting for 3.5.x is a better choice.

Hi Jesse, is the other option just to stick it out and wait for the updates? Seems like there are enough webmasters out there with problems.
For the missed scheduled post issue, is this a WP program issue (hence just wait for update), or a server issue in your opinion? I can't figure it out from the message boards I've read. Thx

Sam, my belief is it is a mixture of the two. I started having missed scheduled posts in 3.4 I think WP has been monkeying around with stuff and it works with certain host configurations, but not others. I would put the fault at WP's feet because they changed something that was working. But if hosts could figure out what configuration changes were needed to be compatible with the new code, they could fix it on their end as well.

I'm looking for editors, beta-readers, and some demographic research for my upcoming novel, Once Upon a Saturn Moon. If you like reading soft sci-fi thrillers, maybe with a touch of romance thrown in, you can find more information at http://seampublishing.com/once…..aturn-moon

Hmm, woke up this morning and don't see any of the social media buttons (Shareholics, sexy bookmarks) show up on Firefox or Safari. It shows up fine on Chrome. Can anybody else verify, and has anybody else had this problem?

I had problems with scheduled posts not getting published (missed schedule message) prior to the upgrade to 3.5. I haven't tried since.

Where are the supposed to show, because I went into the top post for both Yakezie and Financial Samurai but didn't see any Shareholic in Firefox or Chrome.

The buttons are supposed to show on the bottom of the post after you click the title on FS.

Missed scheduled post on Yakezie.com today as well btw. Something is up.
As for my disappearing shareholic social share buttons on FS, I just deactivated and installed Sociable instead. Main thing is I didn't want to lose my social count metrics. Sociable is not as customizable, but it works !

Have you tried the WP Missed Schedule plugin? When I started having missed scheduled post problems with 3.4, that plugin was recommended to me and it did the trick.

Yep, installed it. Although it pings the DB every 5 minutes, so I wonder if that's bad for server load.
I'm hopefully there will be a WP 3.5.1 fix soon.
Do not upgrade to 3.5 if anybody is reading this and wondering!
