In today's mail, 6 weeks after I filed my return, I received a Form W-2c Corrected Wage and Tax Statement. It seems that corrected W-2 I received in January under-reported my taxable income (box 1) by 7%(!) Doing the math, I now owe about $150 of the refund I received back to the IRS.

Do I have any recourse here, or did my employer just royally screw me over?

side note: I also just noticed that they are only paying me 20% of the 401(k) match I was promised. Not a happy camper!

I'm looking for editors, beta-readers, and some demographic research for my upcoming novel, Once Upon a Saturn Moon. If you like reading soft sci-fi thrillers, maybe with a touch of romance thrown in, you can find more information at http://seampublishing.com/once…..aturn-moon

Yep, you owe the money back to the IRS. Filing too early has some downsides.
