I have $0 in my wallet as I type this – the credit cards are staying in one piece for me.  Got to love those rewards!

I think Andi when you are forced to go "cold turkey" it's a difficult experience but the best way. I don't have credit cards anymore and cutting up my cards was the best way to go. However, credit is a drug… coming off it isn't easy.

He*l to the no! My wife and I are very good about not using our credit cards abusively. We put groceries on our credit card so that we can get cashback rewards, but we pay it off every month. So we're basically getting money back for using the card (since we pay it off every month). I guesss if we had some kind of spending problem maybe we'd think more about throwing them away, but right now, it just doesn't make any sense!
