I've never participated in one – could someone explain how they work, and is this open to Challengers, too, or only full Yakezie members? What sort of submissions are expected?

Hi Canadian Doomer,
The Yakezie Carnival is open to everybody, Members, Challengers and even other financial bloggers. Of course it's up to the Carnival host as to what gets into the Carnival and what doesn't.
Eric has made it incredible easy, just click on his link and fill out the prompts. After the carnival goes live, put a link on your site back to his page that includes your article.
