Congrats. Pretty soon, Google search results will dominate your traffic sources and your traffic.

I'm looking for editors, beta-readers, and some demographic research for my upcoming novel, Once Upon a Saturn Moon. If you like reading soft sci-fi thrillers, maybe with a touch of romance thrown in, you can find more information at http://seampublishing.com/once…..aturn-moon

Get Bing involved as well. They aren't as big as G but when I see 5 Bing searches I keep thinking man that's 5 more visitors I would never have gotten.

Keep submitting your sitemaps and your urls. It helps greatly.

For example, I work with a site about relieving pain in the knee and have gotten on the front page of Google a dozen times and growing. In less than 100 days there were over 40 organic searches.

So, keep submitting and doing keyword searches.

Congrats.

Ok, so I'm going to sound like a total newbie here, but how do you submit a sitemap and url to the search engines?

Congratulation! It's a long road, but keep working on it and you'll get a ton of SE traffic eventually.

I'm not sure if this is the best answer, but I use the "Google Sitemap Plugin". It came with the Genesis theme I use so I assume it's pretty good. Within Google Webmaster Tools, you can verify that your sitemap is working like it should.

Here is how I submit sitemaps. I also submit individual url's to bing.

I have Yoast SEO and IMO it's the best and easy to use. If you have it then follow the below instructions. If you don't then I highly recommend you start using it.

1. Go to you wp admin page.

2. Scroll down the left column until you see SEO and click that.

3. Scroll down to XML Sitemaps and click that.

4. Then on the top you will see You can find your XML Sitemap here: Click the button.

5. Voila! Sitemaps. Submit to Bing and Google every time you update.

You can only submit 1 sitemap an hour so if you are updating a post and a categories page you must wait an hour to do that. Let me know if you have any other questions about it.

On one of my sites, Yoast was producing invalid sitemaps so I had to use a separate plugin.

Thanks for all the help everybody!  You guys (and gals) are awesome.  Now that school is finally over, I should be able to spend a little more time on my site.  Hopefully in the next couple of days I will be setting up a twitter and facebook page and officially joining the Yakezie challenge.  So excited to get to know you all better over the coming months!
