I am glad to have found this site- I have had my site for a year and a half but feel not enough people know about me…

I would say that the first thing to do is to network with other bloggers (like the Yakezie members). Start promoting and linking to everyone's articles. Make comments on the other sites and become a part of the community. Also, submit articles to carnivals, and start looking for opportunities to write great guest posts on other sites!
I've definitely seen it with this group – start promoting others like crazy and they will promote you as well (and also make themselves available for tips and advice)! I have learned so much from this group!

Hi There OneIncomeDollar,
I'm looking over your site right now and there are a few things that I want to mention that might be helpful.
Firstly, You have your own domain, that's great! I started out on blogger but realized quickly that I needed to get away from it.
Blogger VS. Wordpress
A majority of blogs use the Wordpress platform just because it is superior in communicating with other blogs. A lot of blogger blogs will link to me, but I never get an alert (trackback) letting me know. So, until I visit the blog and see it, I can't reciprocate.
Also, and I don't know why, Google has always given me a lot more traffic with my worpdress blogs rather than with my blogger blogs. I'm not sure if it is because WP blogs are better optimized or not, but there was a huge difference.
Post Length
I see that many of your posts are really short, I know for giveaways, this is going to be the case. I do see that you've got a couple of nice longer posts in there as well which is definitely good. I strive for at least 500 words on each of my posts.
This isn't to say that is a magical number, some people might find my posts too long to read, but you definitely want engaging content, and I think longer posts allow you the freedom to make something very engaging.
Images and Social Networking
You have images in your posts, that is awesome. I started out without using images and my blog looked dead :-/ so, great job there. I think you should also add some social networking options to your posts. You can use a third party like http://www.AddThis.com which will make it very quick to add the options to every one of your posts.
Also, Move some of your social network buttons (like your twitter follow, your email subscription, and your feedburner reader chicklet) to the top of your right hand column. People are getting used to seeing these options at the top somewhere, and when they don't, they think that you don't use them.

I'm definitely still learning a ton, but I highly suggest (if you aren't already) reading up on these forums, asking the Yakezie Members, and reading at the following sites:

They have some of the best information available on managing a blog, and they've helped a ton.
