Holy Curveball Batman!
I submitted a guest post to John Chow last week. I've been busy lately and I decided to follow up today. How embarrasssing as he said it was posted last week! Would have been nice to know??!?!?!  Or he assumed I would have seen it myself, very, very embarrassed as I thought he would have replied and prompted me to watch for it. Hope he's not insulted or I might have to deal with the Wrath of Chow!!! Ironically, I needed to check some Analytics and I didn't see a spike… No John Chow effect? Sooooo weird. My mind is all over the place. Please support. Would love to see my peeps blastering John Chow's site!  I need to get busy and replies to these folks or they might think I'm a flake?!?!?! He could have given me a heads up!!!!
Besides myself, whatever that means.

I hope that I'm not the only person who has never heard of John Chow. He has a very low Alexa ranking and you received a lot of comments, so I'm going to guess that he's popular.
Congratulations for making it onto a large site. I hope he doesn't get upset that you didn't see your post.

Oh wow, I had assumed everyone knew who he was. I actually first learned about him from someone here. Hmm, I believe it was Yes I Am Cheap informing us that this guy gets paid $1000 per tweet. Crazy. 
He's one of the early pioneers of monetizing a website. I'm thinking he's been at this for 10 years or more? Lately his main gig is helping fellow bloggers achieve some of the success that he has through his techniques, his partners, and his affiliates.
Yeah, I hope he doesn't blacklist me. Honest mistake. I was used to guest posting and blog swapping ala Yakezie. Two way communication. Not posted with no warning! Regardless, it's been an interesting ride.

I used to read John Chow back in the day.
Looks like the article got a bunch of comments. You didn't see traffic from it? He also posted on a Sunday so maybe that reduced some of the traffic?

You read him back in the day, any reason you don't anymore? I think the Sunday post did affect me slightly. I was on a stat diet to focus on writing. I finally checked and did see a bunch of new visits, referrals from the John Chow link. I think I will write up a lessons learned post soon… Funny Analytics didn't see the spike… Plus these past few days I was tweaking my old site, so I thought the slight bump was because of my efforts. Also Alexa for a few days dropped 5K rather than 1K. Perhaps it was from my guest post… Still sifting through the clues.

Congrats!! That is an awesome big site to guest post. I am surprised it didn't bring a lot of traffic to your blog though, sorry about that. I used to read him regularly and know he gets a lot of visitors. Congrats again, now more big bloggers will take you more seriously at the very least.
