The 200k number is pretty arbitrary.  What it really showed was that I was resolved enough to keep blogging.  Anyone can achieve 200k if you write regularly, have creative posts, comment and guest post on other sites, and support others.  If you do this, you will succeed. 

 

What it gives you in the longer run is klout in your niche, as well as with advertisers.  It also gives you a support network of other sites to help you!

+1 on this

I think the 200k is a good gauge for Yakezie purposes, but it's merely the tip of the iceberg when it comes to "making it" in the blogging world. Undoubtedly you'll have more traffic the lower your Alexa ranking goes. But it matters what you do with that traffic to be successful, in my opinion.
