Ok Crystal, tomorrow I will email every one of them :).

LOL.  I reread what I wrote and realize it seemed like a combo of whiny and bossy, lol.  Oops.  I'm just jealous.  :-)  I didn't mean to sound whiny or bossy.

It was like hearing that someone won some major moolah and just didn't have the time to pick it up – I would love to help!  I know how time consuming answering a billion emails is…I spend at least 20 hours every week on it and I don't get nearly as many as you do probably.  I was just trying to portray that…

I am not doing so well at online communication this week…

@Crystal – how does one become part of these campaigns you mention?

They are in the private Yakezie forums, which you get access to once you make it through the challenge.  :-)  Don't worry, you aren't missing too much yet, I think our campaigns will explode mid-next year as the Yakezie becomes recognized as the go-to place for advertisers looking for personal finance bloggers.  Woot Yakezie!

Good!  That was what I was going for right after I got through my few moments of "NOOOO…DON'T DELETE THE MONEY", lol.  I am a nut ball.  :-)

Haven't received anything from him, but I will say there are a bunch of slim balls out here on the Internet and you should definitely be overly cautious.

So Jack has been remarkably quiet of late eh?

My gut tells me he has transformed into a new persona:  Sylvia Carter

Does anyone REALLY know this person?  She seems to have found bunches of bloggers on Facebook and friended them.  She has submitted a guest post to our site with an affiliate link (after being told we don't accept those), and low and behold one of the companies featured on that site is Oak View Law Group which "Jack" used to promote.

In addition, I can't really see much in her FB profile before Dec 27, which is around the time Jack disappeared.

Sylvia's website seems fishy too with EVERY article having precisely 12 diggits (at least on the home page)

Anyhow, my warning system is ringing on this person.  Be wary.

If anyone can verify Sylvia is a legit writer, please do.

Oh Jack Reed is very much alive and kicking!  Contacted me a couple of days back.  Added him to my spam list.

He forgot that he had previously contacted me as Sharon Smith.  Best is to ignore him.

Bah.  Oh well, perhaps he is Sylvia as well.  The link to the Law Group is too telling.

He stopped contacting me after I told him I knew he was a spammer fake.  At least as Jack Reed.

The best is to ignore him, no point being confrontational. To be fair, the law group may not be at fault.  Maybe they hired Jack Reed who presented to himself as an 'SEO' expert.  Who knows.

I was not confrontational, I simply stated that we will not associate with anyone who promotes this particular group.

I know Yakezie is all about blogger love and such, but when we're bombarded (attacked) shouldn't we group together and tell these parasites that we will not accept such behaviour?  Being "nice" hasn't gotten our group anywhere.

Sorry if I come off as a bit of an ass, but i've been navigating the "net" since 1987 ot 1988 and i'm not only tired of these people/tactics, i've developed effective ways to stop people from abusing me and my loved ones.  I truly adore this network and how much Yakezie has done for our site – I do not want to see any member abused or taken advantage of.

Agree with you SPF… the way these guys work is they'll spam a whole lot of bloggers.  If you don't respond back, they won't bother you.  If you do, they'll get persistant.

Take my own example… I entertained his earlier avatar and he got real persistant.  When he emailed me a couple of days back, I didn't bite and that was the end of it.

I totally understand how you feel.

Like my "real" life, if people need me to be the "bad guy" I am more than happy to confront these groups who target Yakezie.

Not sure if you all want to know my methods, some may, some may want to simply stop the obtrusive nature of people who do this to bloggers w/o know how it stops.

If anyone is interested in stopping the "Jack Reed" and others out there, drop me a line on our site.  My methods are not overly "friendly" but they are sure as heck effective.

Perhaps this should be our first e-book ;)  "Internet Crap: How to Make Those Jerks Pay"  (Mrs. SPF won't agree)

I just don't get the anger.  Everytime someone contacts me and tries the guest post method to get a few affiliate links or spammy link I just say that if you aren't a yakezie blog memeber or known PF blogger I say "Yes I accept these types of post but it will cost $xxx."  They usually say but I am awsome and then I respond with  "Don't care – pay or go away"…90% of the time they go away and the 10% I make money….

I think some people are angry because sometimes they keep trying over and over again even under different names.

thanks for the warning. i've been caught off guard a few times. initial emails come in very personal, and imply a genuine guest post from a blogger, but when i review the link it goes to a business/commercial website. disappointing.

Oddly it has been over a week since we've had a guest post request from one of these types.  It has been nice to not have to deal with them much but I wonder where they all went?  Perhaps they talk to each other and learned they'll get a response regarding sponsored posts if they contact us?

One less headache – i'm not upset!

Nope, just today another (on top of a couple others) offers to write me a guest post.

You know, I'd accept guest content, but I'm just not going to link to a crappy site, nor am I willing to link to some debt consolidation group.  Sleazy, sleazy businesses and people.
