I had a guest post on Early Retirement Extreme which is a far cry from Pro Blogger and it moved my daily views from mid 100s to low 1000s for a few days.  Around the same time my Alexa ranking dropped like 200,000.  Totally worth it for me and hopefully some of those new readers stuck around ;)
