I just launched my blog and being as I have been a long-time reader of many blogs that have been displaying the Yakezie badge, I thought I'd jump right in.

 

My Alexa ranking is over 16,000,000 so I have my work cut out for me.  Being a brand new site, there's no backlinks or visitors out there at all, so it is no surprise my rank is so poor.  :)

I am loving these forums.  Lots of good advice and I am stumbling in to some great blogs..  I've subscribed to many of your feeds and will be reading/following along as we all work towards success in this challenge.

Keep up the momentun!

I didn't think there could be a better way for HowToSaveMoney.ca to start the new year than to join the Yakezie Challenge. So now it's official, I've joined the challenge with a current Alexa rank of #1,721,997. You can see the Yakezie announcement post on the front page.

HowToSaveMoney.ca emerged out of a passion I have had for saving money over the past 7 years or so. During that time I learned so much about cutting back my expenses and getting things that I need or want to buy everyday for a lot less money. Now I want to share the information I've learned with my readers so they can learn to save money without having to go through the lengthy learning process that I underwent.

I'm really looking forward to working with all of you and reading all the great content that you guys produce!

Well, I just ran across this site and was immediately drawn to the challenge as I have been wanting to increase my Alexa ranking all along.  I don't remember where I started in 2010 but was trying to get to 500,000 by the end of the year.  I didn't quite make it since my current ranking is 648,006.  Now with the challenge, I will strive to achieve a ranking in the top 200,000 by July 1st, 2011.  It will take quite a bit of effort I suspect but will be worth it.

I am blogging as a hobby but hope to make a little extra cash on the side to pay off some debt and establish additional skills that could eventually be used to support a less time structured lifestyle.  I have been working diligently on HubPages to try and make some monthly income with AdSense as well.  I make more there than on my blog currently which is a part of blogger.

I look forward to being a member of this community and am excited to interact with many of my fellow challengers.  One thing that I have noticed about bloggers is that they are an accepting group who offer up lots of encouragement to others.  I have had a wonderful time interacting with those I have gotten to know through my current blog and look forward to making new friends here.
