Hey everyone,
I'm extremely new here. But have heard that I should be here learning from all of you. I write a blog called The Debt Princess and my focus is on showing people "What NOT to Do" with their finances. I'm an expert in what not to do. :/
I installed the Alexa toolbar in late Nov. and was just under 5mill. YIKES. Now I'm at 711,000. I definitely want to hit the 200,000 mark! I've been blogging since March 2010 but my growth has been very slow. I think I was focusing too much on the mommy blog and not enough on the PF niche.
So here I am. Ready to learn all that I can.

Hello Everyone!
I joined this site a few weeks ago and have been reading in the other sections with some regularity ever since. I haven't posted over here yet, but realized I should go ahead and do so.
My site (in my signature) is actually a joint project between my wife and I and we're having fun with it so far. She is focusing more on the home/personal economics side of it and I'm more of the PF guy.
We started just over 2 weeks ago and our Alexa rank has dropped from 24 million to just over 2 million as of today. I'm hopeful we can get under 200K in the next few months. For the time being we're just focusing on creating good posts and getting our name out there. I don't entirely know where this whole thing will lead just yet, but it's a fun experience so far.
Feel free to subscribe and follow — I've already met some of you on Twitter and in commenting, but I hope to interact with more people as I work on the Yakezie challenge!

Hey everyone,
I've just launched my blog, and just joined the challenge. I'm currently sitting at an Alexa rank of 19,237,914, and hoping to reach 200,000 in six months, and will any luck, a personal goal of a sub-100,000 ranking.
As for me, I'm a college student interested in personal finance and investing. I'm working on a degree in finance and hope to eventually get a CFA. As for the non-school me, I got an early start to personal finance and investing with the careful help of my parents, specifically my dad. I remember reading all I could about managing my money, and since I was just a little kid I've enjoyed saving as much as I can. There's nothing like watching your money grow! Details on my about me page.
As for the blog, Moneymamba has been under development for a long time, but it was only recently that after seeing the Yazekie network that I had to put the build in high-gear. I go into all that in more detail on my challenger post.
Here's to a successful blog, network, and a great 2011!

After encouragement earlier today in the forums, I have decided to join the Yakezie Challenge now!
I have an Alexa ranking of about 8.4 million, so I have a ways to go to breach the 200k ranking mark.
I invite you to come over to my blog and check it out.
I have been reading and commenting on financial blogs for over 6 years now, and have wanted to start a blog for several years. I finally decided that 2011 is the year, and just made it happen. Outside of (hopefully) writing good content, I really have absolutely no idea what I am doing.
- I don't know anything about designing a website (although wordpress has made it pretty easy so far)
- I don't know anything about driving traffic to my site
- I don't know what I don't know!
I'll be slowly figuring it out as I go, but I was tired of using "lack of technical expertise" as an excuse.
Just finally decided to jump into the deep end.

Joining the challenge tonight (2/1/11)!
My starting Alexa is 162,012 (using the world number, correct?).
My blog (Mandi Minding Money) is a mix of personal finance and lifestyle (parenting). I like to share coupons/deals/discounts, our budgeting and saving methods, plus talk about parenting (and pregnancy since we're 8 months along right now!).
I can't wait to find new blogs to read and to help everyone out!

Hi Everyone. I just joined the challenge a few days and am excited to be part of the community. When I started my Alexa rank was 4,272,822 and I've already made it to 1,788,972. It's been fun to see my ranking increase.
I think I've now done everything I need to do to offically join – if anyone sees anything I'm missing please let me know.
I started my blog, Where's My Trust Fund in August. I joined the Challenge to meet other bloggers, become a part of the community, and commit to writing posts on a regular basis. I look forward to meeting everyone!
