@live the new economy-Welcome to the forum, I personally respect and value any military or ex military members we have here. Jeff Rose of Good Financial Cents is one former military man.
@Nunzio- I totally get it, I'm always trying to balance; sometimes with more success than others. You've been on my radar for awhile now as a fellow Univ prof :)
@Jenny Broke Ass-Love your site name!!
@30-Welcome and congrats for kicking debt to the curb!
To all, let me know how I can help, and feel free to contact me ;)

I've been blogging for about three months now, but I've just now found this challenge and I gladly accept it! I'm currently ranked 825,425!
A bit about me: I'm a military officer, husband and father, and I'm transitioning from military to civilian life in the next few years after over 20 years of service, so finances, lifestyle design, transitions, and a whole host of other things are on my mind!
I look forward to new visitors at http://livetheneweconomy.com and also look forward to visiting all of the sites that are also engaging in the challenge! Thanks for having me!
Welcome to the challenge! Let me know if you have any specific questions as I would be glad to help out!
Thanks so much! I really appreciate the support!

Hello out there! , Finally trying the challenge!
I started my blog a year or so ago to have a place to rant/vent/share thoughts about personal finance as I make/made my way out of credit card debt grrr!! Down to the last month or so before i am debt free!! so thought was a good time to take the challenge..
My Current Alexa Rank is 1,140,553.. and am open to any and all advice on making my blog/site better/easier to use/navigate… (man that is a lot of slashes).. I guess my main goal is to make a place that can help someone who is looking for financial help by sharing what i am doing to achieve financial freedom..
Welcome to the challenge and congrats on being so close to debt freedom! Let me know if there is any way I can help!
Welcome aboard

Hello everyone,
I've been blogging only for a couple of months or so, and just discovered the challenge. I still don't know exactly how to sign up for the challenge, so if anybody could tell me where to go and what to do that would be great. But keep in mind who you're dealing with: the one person in the world who will show if something is idiot proof or not.
I'm a retired businessman. I have a Bachelors, Masters and partial Ph.D. in business and management. I spent more than 25 years in senior management as either CFO or CEO, and my new mission in life is to eradicate all the harm recessions cause, because it is totally needless.
Recessions are inevitable: we get them every 7-10 years like clockwork. Forewarned is forearmed. The "four pillars" of personal finance (earn more, spend less, eliminate debt and invest more) are a good start, but not enough.
There is one more thing (the fifth dimension, I call it) and most people never think of it: take care WHEN you do what you do. Example: buying a house can be terrific if you buy it in a recession, but the same house, bought when credit is free and prices are high, can be a disaster. Just ask the 25% of homeowners whose mortgages are underwater today. Same house, different outcome. Only difference: when. There is obviously more to it than that, or we wouldn't see all the foreclosures and bankruptcies we do.
From what I've seen, it seems we all are working for what I've come to call drop dead money: enough money to tell your bosses (or customers) to drop dead – financial freedom, where you can do what you really want to do.
Being new, my Alexa ranking is still around a million. For the moment, I'm devoting most of my writing to comments and a few guest posts on other blogs. A friend of mine pointed out that posting where the eyeballs are makes more sense than posting on my own site, where only my wife and two loyal friends see it. (And they've already heard what I'm saying anyway.)
The only posting I'm doing on my site is a two-part quarterly review of the economy the month after a quarter-end. Since the key to not losing your drop dead money is knowing where the economy is, and most commentators on the economy either don't speak the English we know or are in constant disagreement, my review is concise and in plain English.
The idea behind the Yakezie site, forum and challenge sounds great, so here I am.

Kind of embarrassing, but I first posted that I was joining the Yakezie challenge back in January 2011 when I had an Alexa ranking of 6Mil+ (I'm currently at 1,761,022). I really didn't take being a part of this community seriously. I didn't post enough content and I only promoted others sporadically. I also didn't visit the Yakezie boards often and take the time to connect with the great members here. After taking a relaxed approach to my blog and this community for so long, I am finally ready to really amp it up. I finally signed up for Twitter and am finding it to be quite fun keeping up on everything. I'm going to be bringing tons of good quality posts to my blog and will be promoting others as much as I can (if you write an article you feel deserves some love definitely PM me or email me at Will at HackingTheBank.com. I know that the six month challenge is the minimum, so I'm going to go on and see what the maximum is and double down my efforts on being a part of this great community. I look forward to meeting and mingling with you guys.

Hi Everybody,
I posted this in the Blogger's Lair a few days ago. I thought I better repost it here as well:) I hope you all have a great weekend!
We wanted to write a quick post to introduce ourselves – I hope this is in the right spot. We are Greg and Holly of Club Thrifty (http://clubthrifty.com) and we joined the Yakezie Challenge today!!!
We first heard about the challenge a few weeks ago. We downloaded the Alexa toolbar and realized that our rank was over 5,000,000. So, we waited about 3 weeks and our current ranking is 777,541. Our website has been live for about 2 months, and we love doing it.
We've already met several of you from the different PF websites that we visit and through Twitter. We've already visited many of your sites and talked to a few of you about the challenge. We thought it sounded like fun, so here we are! Please feel free to connect with us at our website, through Twitter, and through Facebook. Thanks for allowing us to join and we are looking forward to meeting all of you!
(FYI – Just so you know who you are talkign with, I expect that I – Greg – will be doing most of the networking on this site. I also post at out Twitter and Facebook accounts. Holly tends to comment at more of your blogs than I do, so you will defenitely get to meet us both!)

Hi Yakezies!
I am here to declare myself as an official Yakezie Challenger. I'm looking forward selflessly helping others over to the next 6 months and beyond!
My official join date is August 4th, 2012 with an Alexa Traffic Rank of 17,899,725.
The goal of Milk and Honey Money is to be a top resource to help people fix and optimize their personal finances from a biblical perspective. I plan to blog about what I have learned from personal experience as well as what's currently happening in my life as time goes on.
My goal is to build several beneficial relationships and reach the 200,000 rank well before the 6 month time limit. See you guys around!
-Zach
