Hi everyone!
Based on the interest posted in this thread http://yakezie.com/forums/blog…..ite-mahem/
I am formally challenging you to a duel!
You can join with a new site only. Here are the rules, mostly based on nichesiteduel.com
1) No backlinking or other 'promotion' until the challenge officially begins on November 1st in your local time zone. You can begin putting up content and linking within only.
2) No paid advertising allowed
3) No advertising in the forums (you can link/talk about it on your site though)
That's pretty much it. Make sure to install G Analytics as soon as possible. Whoever can get their site ranked in number 1 for their desired keyword the fastest wins.
Honorable mentions will include
Most Traffic
Most long tail keywords
Most Income
Are you in?

I am interested, but I don't know if I have what it takes… meaning, I am starting a niche site, but I can't afford to hire someone to crank out the material needed for the niche site and that means I will be taking my time to put out quality material.
I'm taking a slow and steady approach… :)

Just jump right in! I put up some rewritten material from one of my popular posts and I am paying 5 bucks for 2 general articles that I can doctor up.
Check out Fiverr.com. I've used it lots for one of my other sites.

And 20sFinance, dude, I am as cheap as they come. I won't be hiring anyone either. So spend the money on a domain and throw it under your current hosting and do it yourself like I will!

Alright. Sandy talked me into it. I'm doing NaNoWriMo too, but I'm still gonna whup her!!! ;) Besides, I've got a bit of free time starting in November, so should be able to squeeze this in too.

Another rule suggestion: keywords have to have at least 1000 global exact searches per month.
Otherwise, I could take #1 for "naked elf playing electric guitar in the shower while gnomes throw money" in 2 days.

Yeah, I'm still working on a subject as well. Had one, but the closest domain wasn't very close at all, so didn't want to go with it. Now, I'm back to brainstorming!
NaNoWriMo is short for National Novel Writing Month. It happens every November. Basically, you take the month and write 50,000 words of a novel. There's more to it than that, but that's the basics of it. here's the website http://www.nanowrimo.org

awesome idea. no way I can be ready in 2 days. i'll build a niche site but it will take time to design, plan, write …
LIL' SPF (in addition to increased chores + making sure Mrs. SPF has what she needs) is taking a lot of time. Priorities.
