Agreed. Great idea but I too am just swamped at work right now. Barley any spare time.

It's so not fair if you have a site already built! I have to choose a subject, get the domain, build, etc. But it's okay. I'll still win!
In the interest of full disclosure I did have my niche site up for a little while with just one article. It has been down since I switched hosts in May though and I don't have any content ready so I will basically be starting from scratch.

I purchased a few domains 2 weeks ago, but I don't think I can get #1 in them any time soon – they are for really long term goals. I'll probably have to think of another one and enter.
I'm requesting access to the spreadsheet. I think this is a great idea for keeping me moving forward with my niche sites!

I have a site that is being underconstruction for a few months but I didn't do a single backlink to it (therefore I get about 2 visits a day from google). is this site elligible or I need to start a brand new site?

I am in the same situation as Mike. I purchased a domain for my wife to start a niche site a while ago, and there are 0 articles and 0 backlinks to the site right now.
Would anyone mind if I use this one?
Martin, I was laughing really hard when I saw your niche site – but I think you'll do very well with it!

That sounds fine. These are all very interesting niches. It doesn't look like we'll be competing directly.

Sandy recommended using one of your posts that gets high traffic and making a site from it. That's what I did.
