To be fair TFB's site was built some time before the duel began. He just didn't start promoting until after the duel. So, don't be afraid to post your stats! That is a test afterall!!!

Not ranked for any of my 3 keywords. I might have actually made money since I did have an Amazon sale but I used the same tracking ID on TFM so the sale was most likely from there. Considering the site is just one short article this isn't too bad. If I ever get a decent amount of content up this site should actually make a little money.

Honestly, I'm in this challenge to have fun, but I know that my site has been up for 3 months prior to anybody else. I don't mind having a 6 months penalty ;-)

According to Scroogle, my niche site is #1 for its keyword. I want to see if it says the same thing tomorrow before getting excited. I went from #4 to 100+ before, so I'm not getting happy yet.

Late to the game, but I just launched my first real niche site yesterday. I say "real" because the first one I did a few years ago, I haven't really messed with it since.
How do I play?

I managed to get a couple of new posts up on mine, and am starting to see some search engine traffic for it. Still no income, but the growth, relative to the time I've given it, is heartening.

I'm getting between 20 and 30 visits per day. I really need to add more content, put up a gallery, put out feelers about a directory, and at least put up adsense and a few Amazon links to products.
No point in being #1 if I'm not taking advantage of it.

I got 25 posts published, am now working on building the design, and improving search engine traffic. I've been slowly using the back linking strategy from SPI and trying to slip in links into guest pieces.
I would love some feedback on the design.
Oh and good job everyone! Let's do a next challenge in 2012?
