I think the rules were that you had to be number 1 for your keyword and the keyword had to be one that got at least 1000 monthly searches.  If Khaleef's keyword meets that criteria than he has won.  If that is the case we could still come up with a way to extend the challenge.  Perhaps the first to make $100 from their niche site?

Ranking on Scroogle.org:

I think we did agree that we had to hit #1 for a keyword with at least 1,000 monthly searches. Here are my stats…

Keyword: Protective styles

Exact Monthly Searches: Global – 8,100; Local 6,600

Domain: http://protectivestyles.com

Ranking on Scroogle.org: #1

Adding another component to the challenge sounds great. I do think we should declare a winner to each round and start off with a new challenge.

I'm too lazy to go and look up the link, but I think it's on about page three.  There's a google spreadsheet with the list of players and our sites.

This was a great duel!  Let's definately so part 2 to the challenge in January.  We have to rule out TFB because he's already doing it, but how about who can get to $100 per month in revenue on their site?

This can be a year long challenge.  I know that it took me YEARS to make that on my current site.  Let's see how quickly we can leapfrog our main sites.

Oh, and let's say that you have to make $100 per month for at least two months.  Revenue sources can be from anything including Adsense, direct ads, affiliate marketing, product/e-book sales, etc.

Who's game?

Sounds like a plan to me. Course, I haven't made a dime yet, so I've got some work to do… Getting some hits from search engines though. Mostly foreign though, so need to work on that, I guess.

Hey! I want to be in!

I'm not making $100/month with Canadian Dividend Stock. I'm actually in the range of $26-30/month with Adsense ($26.46 in November and $26.51 so far in December). Do I qualify? ;-D

However, I would consider income without private advertising (text link ads or sponsored post). It's too easy to get 2 sponsored posts at $100 each 2 months in a row. Sources of income should be Adsense, products or affiliate. thoughts?

I'm in as well.  I haven't made any money from my site yet and I'm not sure if it has the potential to make $100 a month but I'm sure it can be made into a profitable site.

I never heard of niche sites until I joined Yakezie.

All I can say is that I'm AMAZED! And also, if anyone has any good step-by-step posts on the subject, please link to them so that I can read up and figure it out too! It is so overwhelming, I get lost sometimes : ) Maybe by the this time, ext year I'll be willing to take my own stab at it.

Is it fair to some sites who are disqualified from Adsense to not include ALL sources for revenue?  Thoughts anyone?

Oh, and here's my take on niche sites as well.

hum.. you have a good point. Then let's put the challenge to $1000 in total since the site creation and include all sources of income? It's just that 2 sponsored posts is just too easy to get in my opinion and it's not really a "challenge"…

It's a duel!  Since this will be year long, let's shoot for that $1,000.  Niche site duelers, start your engines!
