Welcome to the forums and to the challenge Quinn. It may seem like its a long road ahead to that 200,000 mark, but as many Yakezie members will tell you, it is a journey worth focussing on. The feeling when you complete your Yakezie challenge is pretty darn sweet. And, of course, you'll have a pretty successful website/blog as well… :)

To introduce myself, my name is Quinn and I live in San Francisco.  I'm a former investment banker who has also worked in the venture capital / startup community and for some small bootstrapped businesses.  I'm blogging about personal finance and small business at http://www.wealthoutwest.com.  Outside of work I'm passionate about pretty much all outdoor activities, so there is some of that on the blog as well (hiking, kayaking, other outdoor sports).  You can read more about my background here. 

 

I've only been blogging for about four weeks so far.  My current Alexa ranking is 6,332,610, so I have a long way to go to break 200,000 — but I'm excited for the challenge.

Hi everyone! I go by E.M. and I am the blogger behind Journey to Saving. I've been blogging for almost a year now, and I'm not sure why I didn't join sooner! Better late than never, right? I just relocated from NY to NC (boyfriend got a job promotion), and have decided to focus more on my blog while searching for a job. I have an interest in breaking into freelancing or at least making income online, working from home. I figured it would be a good idea to network more as I have enjoyed getting to know other bloggers over the year. 

My global Alexa ranking is 110,566, and my US Alexa ranking is at 29,037. I'm excited to see where the Yakezie challenge will take me! I will be making the announcement on my blog tomorrow. 

Hey EM! So glad you've decided to take the plunge here. I've really enjoyed our interaction on each other's blogs over the past year. I just finished the challenge and did my member post recently, and I can say it's definitely worth it. Really kept me focused and moving forward. Best of luck and I'll keep visiting your site to help that Alexa rank drop.

Dont' worry about your Alexa score – just make friends with Yakezie folks and it should continue to go down consistently.  It'll take work, but you'll do just fine! Welcome again

I wanted to say hello and introduce myself, Even Steven.  My Alexa ranking was right about 2 million, so working on getting it better.  Honestly I think the ranking is great, what I really want is to be debt free, have financial independence, and share my story and have people comment from time to time letting me know I'm not alone in the journey.  Please stop by and say hello.
